Terms of Service

Last updated: March 16, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using EbikeCertification.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and EbikeCertification.com. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

The Service is designed for California Ebike riders under 18 years of age. Users must:

  • Be a California resident or rider
  • Be under 18 years of age (the Service is not intended for adults)
  • If under 13, have verifiable parental or guardian consent before creating an account
  • Provide accurate and truthful registration information

3. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent exam limitations or anti-cheat measures is prohibited and will result in permanent suspension of all associated accounts.

4. Course & Exam

You agree to complete all course modules honestly and in full. The timed learning system is enforced server-side. You must spend the required minimum time on each slide. Attempting to bypass or circumvent time-gate controls is a violation of these Terms.

The final certification exam requires a score of 80% or higher. You may retake the exam with no limit, but each attempt is subject to a waiting period between retakes. Sharing exam questions or answers is prohibited.

5. Certificates

Upon passing the exam, you will receive a digital certificate and a QR-coded certificate. The certificate attests only that you completed this online safety course. They do not constitute a government license or legal authorization to operate an Ebike beyond what California law already permits.

Certificates are non-transferable and may be revoked if obtained through fraud or dishonest means.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Circumvent, tamper with, or reverse-engineer any anti-cheat, time-gate, or security mechanism
  • Create accounts under false identities or on behalf of another person without authorization
  • Share, sell, or transfer your certification, QR code, or account credentials
  • Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Service without permission
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws, including COPPA
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or staff

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any violation of these Terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

EBIKECERTIFICATION.COM IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL, OR ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY. COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE DOES NOT GUARANTEE COMPLIANCE WITH ALL LOCAL ORDINANCES OR EXEMPTION FROM ANY LEGAL REQUIREMENT.
