Children's Privacy Notice

After obtaining verifiable parental consent, we collect the following information from users under 13:

• First name: Used to personalize the course experience and appear on the certificate.
• Date of birth: Used to determine COPPA applicability and age-appropriate content gating.
• Parent or guardian email address: Used solely to send the parental consent request and, upon consent, notification of certification completion.
• Course progress data: Time spent on slides, quiz answers, and exam scores, necessary to issue a valid certification.

We do not collect photos, videos, geolocation data, phone numbers, or any information beyond what is strictly necessary to provide the certification service.

When a user indicates they are under 13 during registration, we immediately pause account creation and send a consent email to the parent or guardian email address provided. The child's account is not activated and no personal information is processed until a parent clicks the consent link in that email.

The consent email explains:

• What personal information we will collect from the child
• How we will use that information
• That you may refuse consent and the account will be deleted
• How to contact us to exercise parental rights

Consent links expire after 72 hours. If you do not consent within that period, the registration data is automatically purged.

We use children's data solely to:

• Provide the Ebike safety course and track completion
• Issue the digital certificate upon passing the exam
• Enable QR code verification by law enforcement
• Send a one-time completion notification to the parent email
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not:

• Sell children's personal information
• Use children's data for advertising or behavioral profiling
• Share children's data with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy
• Condition participation on children providing more information than is necessary

As a parent or guardian of a child under 13 who uses our Service, you have the right to:

• Review: Request a copy of all personal information we have collected from your child.
• Delete: Request deletion of your child's personal information and account at any time. We will complete deletion within 30 days.
• Revoke consent: Withdraw your consent at any time, which will result in account deactivation. Certification records may be retained in anonymized form.
• Correct: Request correction of inaccurate information about your child.
